As Managing Director for the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, Melody leads the strategic growth and operational excellence of the property management platform across the market. She is responsible for recruiting and developing high-performing teams, overseeing the regional property portfolio, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery to property owners and clients.

Melody brings more than 17 years of commercial real estate experience, with a career that began in tenant services and progressed through increasingly senior leadership roles. Prior to joining Commonwealth in 2023, she served with Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer, where she directed management operations across a 5 million square foot portfolio of office, industrial, and retail assets.

Her diverse background includes oversight of office, retail, mixed-use, industrial, and medical office properties, representing both institutional ownership groups and private partnerships. Melody is recognized for her ability to align operational performance with ownership objectives while fostering strong client and tenant relationships.

Melody holds the Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management and earned her Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Old Dominion University.

Outside of her professional responsibilities Melody is committed to giving back to her community. She volunteers her time supporting animal rescue efforts through fostering with Compassion for Canines and actively supports the missions of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and the American Cancer Society.
